Pink and Turquoise Chemistry

There's just something about pink and turquoise.  Pink flowers of any variety have always been my favorite, and when turquoise, teal, or aqua is added for a little flavor, I can't resist.

I was rummaging through one of my garage closets again and uncovered some more old junk with huge potential.

Cheapo red wood tube holder from a vintage chemistry set, Pyrex glass tubes, and an ornate gold metal frame.

The frame got two coats of antique white spray paint and the chemistry set tube holder was painted with ASCP Duck Egg.  I used spray adhesive to attach the burlap to a piece of heavy cardboard, slipped it inside the built in slot, and then glued on the tube holder with E6000.  Finishing touch...five little carnations for some pink flower power.

Perfect for Mother's Day.

I've been playing over at PicMonkey, my new favorite photo editing software.
So user friendly and loaded with all kinds of fun toys....
Textures, Weave

Effects, Black and White

My favorite:  Textures, Papyrus
Have you played with PicMonkey yet?

Wishing everyone a beautiful weekend and a
VERY HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
I hope your day is full of joy!!

What a visionary you are! The marriage of those elements is so wonderful in your creative hands.

I've seen some cool effects done with PicMonkey's overlay feature, using two images together. I'm going to have to start playing around with it more.

Beautiful -- I really love the combinations of the elegant frame, the rough burlap and the turquoise! I haven't played with picmonkey yet but that 'textures, weave' photo is gorgeous -- so I DO need to give it a try!
